The Lamppost Society is designed to bring this lost way of life into the modern age by utilizing technology to bridge gaps created by expanded geographic separation and reclaim control of local supply chains for the benefit of our neighbors.
We start with a predefined encyclopedia of resources and productions as a framework for small businesses and productive households to network with one another. As the community grows and becomes more sophisticated, not only are supply chains automatically detected, but potential weaknesses are identified as well. The application provides insights for both producers and consumers, and facilitates the human scale interactions that once built our nation.
